JAM is a constellation of collaborations, performances, and public interventions created by visual artists Pelle Brage and Julia Bruun.
JAM is an interdisciplinary art organizer and producer. Based in Kristiansand, Norway, JAM PUBLIC functions as an experimental lab and platform.
We love touring and challenging all kinds of public spaces. Our work includes social interventions, large scaffolds, homemade inflatables, performative actions, and more.
Our mission is to expand artistic practice locally, nationally, and internationally through site-responsive public interventions. Much of our work is sculptural and inclusive, driven by a spirit of inquiry and experimentation.
The JAM PUBLIC community is diverse, international, interdisciplinary, and cross-artistic. We build bridges between institutional partners and independent artists, creating meeting points for amateurs and professionals alike.
As a laboratory, JAM PUBLIC encourages collaboration, risk-taking, and new ways of presenting art that challenge and expand traditional exhibition practices.
